Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, Lead, direct and management department personnel within the workshops and fleet administration.
Lead the vehicle workshop staff to meet high maintenance standards and service vehicles according to manufactures specifications.
Reduce the time frame for repairs and maintenance in the workshop.
Keeps the Fleet running most reliably and effectively with the minimum possible costs without detriment to operational efficiency.
Record workshop activities for best operation evaluation.
Develop a replacement policy with a Transport Policy
Monitor day-to-day manpower allocation and vehicle repairs.
Prepare, implement and monitor vehicle periodic maintenance schedules.
Arrange to prepare vehicles for MVPI inspections and raise documents to public relations (GIS) for "Estimara" renewal.
Check and approve parts requests prior to their replacements.
Check and approve outsourcing prior to their execution.
Responsible for all vehicles maintenance schedules.
Keeping / maintaining the highest possible level of labour performance, efficiency and productivity.
Keeping / maintaining an acceptable level of tooling and machineries that can best serve a high standard, efficient job performances.
Monitor spare parts stock levels to provide optimum parts availability with minimum holding cost.
Review "Parts Purchase Requisitions" for both emergency and stock prior to Fleet Managers approval.
Control vehicles allocation to management recommendations.
Report abuse to HRD & COO and take remedial action against drivers.
Prepare and complete month-end KPI reports.
Prepare and complete monthly and/or yearly technician evaluation reports.
Prepare monthly workshop expenses report, i.e. parts, oil, tires, fuel & general consumables.
Keep / maintain historical records for own vehicles, leased vehicle labor and general assets.
Define and implement common data gathering practices for all vehicles and workshop-related activities.
Keep/maintain Fleet vehicles (in general) and distribution vehicles (in particular) in a clean, roadworthy condition and presentable according to company policy.
Provide cost reduction programs while enhancing effectiveness of workshop operations.
Improve team spirit, motivation, skills development and empowerment.
Ensure all subordinates adherence to company rules and regulations.
Keep and improve safety measures, cleanliness and decency of the working environment.
Specify the correct vehicles for any specific job application.
Ability to re-engineer vehicles and or semi trailers for refurbishment.
Carryout regular vehicle visual inspections for accident and abuse, take appropriate corrective action where necessary.
